Melville, NY (January 31, 2011) - Marchon Eyewear, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Iso Sides as Vice President and Managing Director of Marchon Canada and Felix Sides as Vice President of Retail and Key Accounts in Canada.
Marchon calls upon the expertise of Iso Sides, who was selected to succeed Rene Levy as Managing Director. Levy, who announced his retirement in December 2010, was with Marchon for 16 years and was integral in creating the foundation that has led to the success of Marchon in the Canadian market.
Both Iso Sides and Felix Sides will report directly to Steve Wright, Senior Vice President of Sales for North America.
“Rene’s presence will always be felt at Marchon Canada. He built the division, forging relationships with members of the Canadian market to make Marchon Canada what it is today,” said Claudio Gottardi, Marchon President and CEO Marchon International. “I am confident in the expertise of Iso and Felix to continue and expand Marchon’s presence in the Canadian market.”
Iso Sides joins Marchon from the Sáfilo Group, where he opened their Sáfilo Canada offices in 1990 and built the division using his sales and marketing expertise.

Felix Sides is a licensed optician and built the retail division during his 16-year career at Sáfilo Canada alongside his father, Iso. Felix Sides solely managed the Ontario providence, which makes up 40 percent of Sáfilo Canada’s sales.
